Campaigns on TikTok - what to watch out for?
TikTok is growing fast. And if we could give you one tip for using social media, it would be this: "Start using TikTok immediately!"
TikTok has become the perfect way to grow your audience quickly and promote your business in a very authentic and engaging way. But how about effective campaigns? Let's look at some helpful marketing strategy tips you should follow to maximize your marketing success on this platform.
Use hashtags
Like many other social media, TikTok users rely on hashtags to catalogue their videos and search for clips by topic. If you click on the "Discover" magnifying glass at the bottom of the screen, you'll see a list of videos sorted by popular hashtags.
Pros of using hashtags are:
- Increasing the reach of your content
- Identifying competitors
- Getting more followers means more leads
Trendy song
Using trendy songs is essential because it will get you a lot of new followers, especially on TikTok. If you don't follow the latest trends, it will be much less of an improvement to be featured on the "For you" page. And the "For You" page is where you'll get most of your followers.
What to do to find the right viral sound?
- Click "Add Song"
- Scroll to "Playlist"
- And check out the "Viral Playlist"
If you're creating explainer content or a voice-over video, you can lower the volume of the added track and increase the volume of your audio. That way, your viewers will hear what you say in the video and what you want to convey to them. But at the same time, you will be on the "For You" page thanks to viral songs. This way you will get more new followers.
Involve influencers in your campaign
It is no accident that some people become influencers on social platforms. They usually build a reputation for the quality of the content they share. That's why it pays for most businesses to build productive working relationships with people who influence their potential customers.
You can also find influencers in the comments section, or see which influencers your competitors are working with.
Once you find the influencers you want to work with, set a budget. Tell them your requirements, expectations and budget within your range to outline a budget plan with them.
TikTok Ads
TikTok offers three types of ads:
- In-feed native ads – you can add website links to the ad or direct CTA "Order" button
- Hashtag challenge ads – with these ads, the user will be shown a banner ad that will take them to a page with the instructions and rules of the challenge, you can use this to target specific consumers.
- Brand takeover ads – use a combination of images, GIFs and video clips that link to the landing page
Add regularly
If you want to be more memorable and get more followers, you need to release videos regularly. The question now is: How many times a day should you be posting? About 1x to 3x. However, make sure that the videos you create are creative, unique and engaging.
This is your opportunity to show your audience what building your brand means. For example, you can add impressions from behind-the-scenes, so-called background content, either from influencers or employees.
Top-performing content includes footage from campaign shoots, influencers unwrapping products, lip-syncing to relatable sounds, and employees having fun at work. People come to TikTok for light entertainment, not video. Luckily, short lo-fi videos are easy to shoot – all you need is your phone.
And comment regularly too!
Like most social networks, TikTok encourages frequent user engagement. Comments are a great way to do this. Ideally, you will strike up conversations with your potential customers.
TikTok rates comments based on the number of likes they receive, so make sure you think about your comments ahead of time to make them meaningful. Avoid bland "nice video" comments.
Don't hesitate and get started with TikTok right away!
